Default Oxygen sensors not connected

So I have a 2000 xj 2wd limited. I was looking under the hood the other day, just looking at stuff, and I noticed that there are 2 oxygen sensors in the exhaust manifold, and the wires coming off of them are not connected to anything. I assume this is not normal, but the motor runs decently, gas mileage is normal. I just want to make sure everything is hooked up the way it should be. It doesn't seem like it would come out of the factory with wires hanging down by the steering linkage where they could get tangled up. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Gee wow I hadn't thought of that. I can't find any connectors on the wiring harness that they would plug into.

You should be able to find connectors within reach of the connectors that aren't hooked up.

If you can't find the connectors, take your Heep to the dealership and they will hook them up for you.

If I do take it to the stealership, won't they charge me some ridiculous amount of money?

Yes they will.

If you think about it, how on earth can we in this online forum see what you need to do. Maybe if you took some photos of the setup and post them here perhaps someone could help you out.

Do you have the California emissions exhaust system with precats (4 O2S's) or do have the Federal emissions exhaust with one downstream Cat (2 O2S's)?

It could be just a replacement manifold with the cats on it. No where to plug them in. My 2000 doesn't have o2 sensors there
