Overheating when A/C comes on.
Long story short, my a/c has never worked. When I bought the jeep last year the previous owner told me the compressor was shot. Well today at 95 degrees outside I said what the he'll and bought one of those cheap recharge Kits from autozone. The compressor never worked at all until the liquid was put in the system. I was a lil amazed. But now the temperature gauge goes to full when I turn on the a/c and when I turn it off the temperature gauge goes back to normal. What can I check to fix this problem??? I've researched a lil and came up it could be something with the aux fan. Any tips??? A/c blows cold....then turns warm when the temperature gauge goes to full =[

Well, it could be. But it could also be the fan motor itself is not working. There is also a thermostatic switch somewhere.
But is it my experience that when the A/C mode is on, then the aux fan is switched on.
You need to see if power is reaching the fan, maybe with a test light.

Well the fan I got from the junkyard from another xj. Never really noticed if it actually worked or not. I heard you could also use the fans from a ford Taurus?? Anyone got a lil more info on this? I just don't want to end up buying a brand new fan lolz which I might end up doing in the Long run

I would jump the batt to the fan connecto, then Check the relay. It happened to me. Swap the relay with a known good relay in your box- it should turn on with your ac.
