Overheating weird

Default Overheating weird

Hey folks me and a buddy have been working on his Jeep Cherokee limited's overheating problem. now it has a new radiator,water pump,thermostat, we have bypassed the heater core and put a brand new head on it and it is still overheating any suggestions. this thing is driving us crazy.

Its an 88 limited straight six both fans are working correctly. as soon as the engine starts it just doesnt stop heating up gradual at first then it will jump after it hits two hundred.

I'm sure you checked already, but your engine is not blocked in some way with junk that keeps the coolant from circulating is it?

DId you burp it. You have a closed system. You have to burp it when you work on the Cooling system.

Do you know for sure that it's overheating? My gauge will say its 220 but an infrared thermometer will say it's 195. You may want to see if it's REALLY overheating.

we burped the system and the gauge is working and it is definitely overheating BUT now we have another problem we hard wired the electric fan to start with the ignition but what we hard wired it to blew the trans fuse and now it will start and immediately turn off we already replaced the ignition switch and it is still doin it could it be a fuse link
