Overheating issues on 98 cherokee 4.0
I have an overheating problem on my 97/98' Cherokee 4.0 Sport. In a slow city traffic with AC on the temp raises to 220-230 with consequence the cooling liquid boiling and is thrown out.
I have replaced thermostat, radiator valve, fan and the fan clutch for new. The problem is still existing. I am planning to mount and test a new radiator to see what happens.
The interesting thing is, when I switch off the AC the overheating issues disappear. But I need the AC..
Thanks

I maybe way off here, but I would check to see what condition and state your serpentine belt is in. With the extra drag of the A/C compressor, the belt might not be adequately turning the water pump. Just another thought.

yes make sure the electric fan works (im pretty sure it does because you never said the a/c quit working or became warm)... if the fan works i pretty sure the rad is the culprit
