My understanding is that about 220 deg the aux fan comes on, if temps increase beyond that (230? 235? 240? this is the number I'd like to find out) the Pointer moves full-scale right.

241.25F (LOL), I believe that's where the "red zone" starts (mathematically). My guess is that's where the idiot light may turn on as well..... but again, not even a flicker at 230 (ScanGauge).

I agree that the temp gauge does not read a steady Increase. I haven't replaced the radiator yet. But I'm gonna get a csf 3row radiator to replace the stock radiator

Nothing against a 3 row rad....but just remember, they are not 3X thicker than OE 1 row. Copper/brass multiple narrow tube rads are old school.....for the past 20+ years, almost all auto mfgs have gone to single wide row aluminum/plastic rads for their increased efficiency. Food for thought and it's worth what u paid for it.

I agree. Been trying to find a good aluminum radiator that will drop in that is not too pricey.

Just checked rockauto.com for your year and they sell aluminum ones for around 90 with shipping. I'd do that
