Jeepster are you still having overheating problems? Did you change to the Mac's tank? Did you rebleed as per the instructions? The key is a slow flow.

i have a 96 cherokee sport 4.0 ltr 6 cylinder, the water pump locked down on me an i replaced it and the serpentine belt ,the wife picked it up from the shop and within 10 miles it ran hot not redline but close , then i replaced old tstat with a new 160 degree and it still got hot ,i flushed the radiator , it idled cool for about 30 minutes and i drove it for a about 12 miles and it was fine til i got on it for a few seconds to pass a slow car then the temp started to jump up i turned the heater on and it got a little cooler but still hot ,no water in oil ,and no visible leaks , both fans are functioning any help greatly appreaciated...
