Default Overheating???

88 Renix 5 speed closed system

Replaced the hoses, coolant, radiator, housing, and im running with no thermostat (Arizona is really hot, dont see much cold around here). No water is going through the top rad hose and im not leaking any fluid. Electric fan is not coming on either. Any ideas?

My guess is you have a air pocket in the radiator or its clogged. I'd say look up on Google how to "burp" the closed cooling system.

There should be flow through all the hoses if your system is in good working order.

If i leave the cap off with the engine running sometimes coolant will burp out but I didnt even pour a whole gallon of coolant and my pressure bottle is full so it looks like coolant is not circulating.

not clogged just ran a screwdriver through them and pinched around no signs of a clog in hoses.

I would think 210 is about where it's going to run in Arizona/El Paso heat with a 195 stat.

The thing is it creeps up higher and higher aas I drive. If I drive more than 10 miles with outside temp 110-114* it runs the line before red.

I also did the Hood spacers on the back brackets. Did a 1" lift of the Hood and still runs warm.
