My apologies to the OP, 1996XJSport, I was young once (a long time/several heart attacks ago). If we can gain anything from this thread let it be that "we can all learn from our experience" and "when we make a mistake, be willing to admit it". If I offended, I apologize.
This is my 1st experience with a Jeep, but far from my 1st rodeo with old cars/vehicles. My definition of an old car is - if it's no longer covered by a factory bumper-to-bumper warranty....., it's an old car. It's now the owner's responsibility for maintenance or having maintenance performed. When it comes to an old car, especially one that's your daily driver, you need to be poppin' the hood just about every day.......takin' a quick look/pullin' dipsticks/poppin' caps, etc., etc.
Best of luck to the OP in his automotive career.....who knows, he may be the next "Smokey" Yunick.

I got lost in the threads and didn't see if you had posted or not, but did you find the issue? Or was it a one-fix deal, fill up, and all smiles and sunshine on Interstate (until the next repair lol)?
