Yup I did already know that. That's why I started this thread right before I went to o reilly's and got some new coolant. It runs and drives no problem now

I've came close to overheating in my 92. I was towing my old 93 YJ 4x4 (because the wrangler actually overheated and the rad split in half!!!). I was pushing the red zone at about 230 or so. I turned the heater on and had the windows rolled down because it was during the summer hahah

Lol! Nice! Yeah, I've been there a few times, but I haven't had a major problem resulting from it.

Because you're being a pompous ***.

I'm not doing this. You don't have to be a dick to the guy just because you think you know everything. This site is known for it's friendly attitude, and helping answers. You wanna be a jerk, go to Pirate or NAXJA and gtfo of here.

Let's keep this place nice.

U need to go back to the op, page 1 post 1, and start reading again..............just real slow so u'll understand it. Maybe then u'll see how wrong it was to blame the young lady for something that was totally the owners fault and due to his neglect but he insisted on blaming someone else instead on manning up. I just find these kinds of threads incredible and hard to believe they get posted.....not a whole lot of thinking going on.

Honestly, you should watch your mouth. If you wanna talk like that, then YOU need to take yourself on over to pirate (btw, NAXJA is actually a bit like CF, in the aspect of what is expected as civilized behavior). And I wouldn't really argue with djb, considering I would bet money he knows a bit more than you, considering you've split rads, overheated because you didn't give a simple check-over, etc. Not to mention I've seen his input help many people get their XJ back on the road.

All it boils down to is you tryin to act like someone cool on an online forum. That's actually really childish and stupid.

I watched her touch my radiator cap. She caused it so its not really blaming if its the truth.

I've had my share of leaks, bursts....hell explosions under the hood, the last one was the heater control valve. I think I lost maybe half my coolant It was a friggin mess under the hood, every damn thing in the compartment was coated. If you lost 3 gallons.......holy crap you'd know it. Watch your coolant level for the next few days, if you damaged the H gasket or the head itself you could be losing it internally, I mean that in the nicest way of course.

Not certified but certifiable.

ALWAYS carry water in an xj, don't even bother with coolant, if you need it you'd be wasting money cause your leakin. The sloshing sound coming from my rear cargo is very comforting to me.

You should marry that girl.

The rest of you need to cross over the anger bridge and come back to the friendship shore. Shake 'n Bake.
