I've searched but can't find anything... So I'm trying to put an overhead console from a 92 into my 96. I thought it would be plug and play but I'm having some issues. First off the main big plug fits right where it should in the kick panel. Only problem is that there is a red connector that my current dome light plugs into (black/pink/yellow) and a red connector on the console harness that fits there but nothing happens. First pic. There's a 3 wire plug with black/yellow/pink wires on the console harness that doesn't fit into anything but I'm wondering if those are the actual wires I need to get it to work. Should I splice these together or no? Second pic. Also what about the white wire? There are also 2 empty female plugs in the kick panel which I have no idea what they would be for. Should I try and find a new harness or can anyone help me with figuring out the wiring? I really just want to get the lights working, maybe the computer if possible. I still need the temp sensor for the bumper but I'm not worried about that yet. Thanks.
did you ever figure out the computer? I've been battling this in my 96 for about a week now.
search the Archives, or maybe its NAXJA, but the capacitors in the circuit board apparently die, just like the PCM.
Thats why I havent got around to trying to swap the one out of my spare, which appears not to work, into my DD
