I know this thread is old but I am having the same problem. I already read through the thread on Naxja but I'm still lost in what I need to do. I got this over head console out of what I think is a 95 or 96 xj. Mine is a 93. I got it all bolted in but the wiring is different. overhead console-image-138605828.jpg Here are the three plugs that come off the console. My jeep only has the red one to plug into. Also, the red plug on the overhead console has 5/6 slots filled while the red plug on the jeep has only 3/6 slots filled. So two of the wires in the red plug on the overhead console have nothing plugged into them. The black and green plug, I don't even have those plugs on my jeep. With the red plug plugged in, the lights on the console will work but that's it. The display does nothing. I have the temp sensor and there is a plug in the engine bay for it but where does the wire go to in order to plug into the console. Does anybody know what wires are for what. I'm thinking I can just make my own harness but I need to know what wires are for what in order to do so. Thanks

Anybody? I've spent several hours searching the web as well as climbing under the dash and trying to trace wires. Some help would be greatly appreciated!
