Default Overhead console question

Recently I went to pick up a pair of leaf springs from a local guy that was giving them away and he gave me a couple boxes of XJ parts for a project he had been working on before totaling his Jeep.

In it he had a couple of overhead consoles and I have pieced together one from the parts included that just has the front and rear lights in it, and no digital display so I can eventually use that space to add switches. Seems simple enough to do but the original dome light had 3 wires (pink/black/yellow) and the console has 4 (pink/black/yellow/gray). Is the gray wire just power supply to the rear lights? Can I tie it into the red wire so all the lights come on when the door is opened?

up there is also where the keyless entry receiver is, maybe the jeep the parts came from had keyless and yours doesnt? or vise versa, if does make sure to swap the boards over or it wont work. and as far as tieing the lights together, i dont see why not just figure out which one is power for sure first.
