Overcooling
Okay I tried everything. I installed a new 195 t stat. Parked it on a lil hill with the nose of the car down and burp it from the temp. Sending unit. But it still is 100-110. It won't get any hotter then that. What els can I do?

He is serious. If it is very cold where you are then you can use a piece of cardboard to limit airflow to the radiator to up the temp but I would definately try a new sending unit first. There isn't any reason it should run that cold and if it is actually running warm and you block off air flow to the radiator it could overheat.

Infra-red point-n-shoot temperature gauge.....u point it at the t-stat housing to measure temp......don't see how coolant temp could actually be 100, even this time of year. Gauge, sending unit, elec connection got to be bad.

I ran no t-stat for a month when I first bought my 90' two door... that was a present from the po. I can't quite remember but I think it ran about 140 at idle. Warmed up to 160-170 under load. If memory serves me...

You MUST verify the temp. The infrared point and shoot thermometer is your friend here. Point it at the thermostat housing and you will know EXACTLY what temp your coolant is at.
Good data = Good decisions
