Default Our temp gauges are not reliable- u running aftermarket?

ive read time and time again our temp gauges kinda suck ***. just put in a new motor...im looking into installing an aftermarket gauge, and while im playing the temp game i'll probably do the trans....


anyone running temp gauges?
recommended brands?
lookin to spend 50-100 for each gauge with sender unit

i have the cheap autometer ones from o'rileys auto parts and have them mounted as such.... i love them, accurate, and not to hard to route the wiring/tubing

im running a B&M trans temp gauge and got a Auto Meter oil temp gauge to install. running them in piller pods. trans gauge and oil temp gauge come as a kit with everything needed (sending unit, ect.) and pods come in either 1 or 2...

I dont have an aftermarket meter, but as a note: Get ones with electronic sending units. I dont know about you guys, but I dont want to run hot coolant and oil into the Cab of the vehicle.

i run the manual ones... and i have no issues with the oil/gasses.... as long as there is no chaffing on the tubes they will be fine. the tubes are really beefy going to the gauges. i dont wanna deal with the electrical gremlins that already plague our jeeps lol. just my opinion


can you post a picture of your gauge pods? not to thread jack him. just wanna give him options and ideas on how he can run them

ya i just got a single one in now...i think it looks almost factory. cant see any wires or anything....
