Default other year 4.0's fit in a 00 WJ right?

so a motor out of like a 01 cherokee would fit in the 00 WJ right? only the accessories would all have to be swapped correct? fuel rails and all that... but otherwise there all the same for the most part right?

The motor is the same, nut the head is different, the 2000 has coil packs and the 99 does not,the 2000 has bosses for the packs, the 99 has a dist,2000 does not, although it looks like one without the cap.
Other than the bosses on the head, the lonblock is the same.
Alsp you can make some brackets for the coil packs.

I just read the other post, and what is on naxja. Other than the bosses the 2000 and up are the same. The mounts on a zj are the same except the rubber insert,It would not make sense to me for there to be different blocks. There is different sensors and the way things are mounted, but the block is the same.
