I have been looking for used brush guards for months. There are a few that are on the East or West coast, but nothing in midwest. I see brush guards for Grands all the time. Are there other vehicles that might be fairly close to the XJ size and shape? I am a machinist and could easily fabricate new brackets or hardware but I do not want to make one from scratch.

My question is this. Has anyone ever adapted another vehicle's brush guard to fit a (2001) XJ? If so, what brand and what model?

 

I've got the same problem, finally found one local the other day. I found a grill guard at this link, I think there are brush guards that attach to it available too.
