Looking at picking up this 94 Cherokee Sport this weekend. Seems clean, and fair on pricing, what do you guys think? For $1800 it's not a bad daily driver....
Thanks in advance!

Looks nice so far but really before you buy check for rust on it. It is in the salt belt
This thread will show you some key rust areas

From what I have seen and been told by the owner, it's pretty much rust free. The only thing it needs is a new U-Joint, which if I understand, is a pretty cheap and easy fix. He said it has an occasional clunk while driving.
Thanks for the link XJ!!

No matter what he says take a screw drive under there with you an poke around on the floor. If it feel solid then you are good to go. The problem with XJ's in the salt belt are they trap water in the insulation and slowly rot the floor. I didnt think I had much rust either till I pulled the carpet.

Well, looking on craigslist in my area, there are not many available in the Milwaukee area for that price, that are that clean. I know the owner through a local forum that we are both on, and he's been there for a while. Met him once or twice as well, so I'm not buying it from a complete stranger.
I will keep that in mind though as well with the floor.

that looks really clean for being from WI. trust me i live there haha. the places to check for rust would be the floors, esecially under the front and the rockers. those are usually the most common. also open the front doors and check the top of the rockers. if its mechanically in good shape it looks awesome for that price. how many miles?

if there are any problems talk them down. otherwise make sure it is exactly what you want. trust me, if you wait long enough deals will show up. but if this thing is as clean as it looks, awesome.

I really am looking for a good DD that gets OK mileage, and can save me from putting miles on my SRT..... Plus, running 315/35/20 in the rear and 275/40/20 front does me no good in the snow, even with the AWD.

I actually just replaced them last winter. $900 for all 4 was not too bad price wise for their size. it's just that the width of them makes it like riding on 4 greased saucers in the snow....
