Opinions on BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO Tires?

I have them on my DD and I love them. I have the 31x10.50r15's and I looked around and couldn't find a better tire for the price. I didn't want an MT and I like the aggressive look of these and I can still drive on the highway at 70 MPH without any overwhelming noise. I had Goodyear Wranglers on before and this was a huge upgrade

I have a set that are almost bald. on tuesday I pulled out my friend in his cherokee with full exo and 33x13.50 swampers when he got stuck on his property in a mud pit with a clay bottom, shoveled clay with diffs.
would I buy another set? nope. I'd go with a more agressive tire.
the general grabbers are decent. I'd consider them same par with bfg at/ko. would I buy them? nope.
if you're looking for quiet and mildly capable, you will want a/t's. I'm not, so I wouldn't buy them again. I'm between the new goodyear mt/r's and the bfg mud terrains.

Had hankook dynapro MT's on my 03 cummins... 37's... they sucked... in between the treads on the sidewall they like to split... i had one do it and i replaced it with some other tire for the time being till the other wore... and then 2 weeks later the other one did it... will never buy again...

i would stay away from the BFG MT's... buddy had them on his f150...35's... they didnt make it to half tread before he traded them in on a new set of the AT's... they hopped every other tread and eventually got so bad his truck would do nothing but shake at any speed on the road... they sucked...
Sounds to me like your "buddy" need to learn how to rotate and balance tires.

wow, lots of great feedback. It's nice to actually hear from people who've used these! Makes decision making a lot better, overall.
I'll check out the general grabber at2's too, I didn't know about those before.
But any other comments, I'd love to read 'em. This really helps make a good decision.

I think BFG A/T's are a great tire. I have 30x9.5's on my dd and they are perfect. I've put 1000 miles or so on them and they rock. Great in rain, very good on dry pavement and I haven't really had snow since I got them. I love mine and plan to buy another set when these need replaced.

he must not have known how to balance, rotate his tires and/or align his front end and/or have the proper track bar.
I've NEVER heard of a them doing that, unless someone was too cheap to do it right.
BTW my bfg a/t k/o's have around 75k on them now and still have (a little) tread.
buddy's MJ has had BFG's on it since I've known him...theyve been fine.

i think 30x9.5 would fit perfect on a stock truck, i managed to fit 31x10.5 on my truck at stock height. they do rub a little if i start flexing too much, but its fine for the most part, i think the 30's would be perfect

yeah i had 30" muds on my rig stock with no rear sway and they didnt rub at all.
huntingman2706217 - thats not the tires fault unless it had tread seperation and i doubt it would do that. he should have just had them re-balanced. mine shook after about 6,000 miles, i re-balanced them and each one was atleast an ounce off. ofcourse tires need to be re-balanced over time and i dont know how the truck was setup but my m/ts had no problem what so ever.
