Open hose

On the passenger side on the engine fire wall, kind of far down there's a little downward angled hose that is uncapped. What is this?

A pic would help a lot. Is the hose coming from the firewall? It could be a drain, I think there is one there for something to do with the A/C or the vent above the hood.
