Need to replace my leaf springs... saggin a ton. Would like to put a couple inches on while i have the springs off but don't wanna go more than a couple inches so i don't have to deal with the issues that come with bigger lifts.

How's the ride with the OME 2" leaf springs? Will I need new shocks? Is it worth the extra money i'd be spending on them rather than just getting 2" shackles for the rear and getting the OEM springs? Don't got a lot of money (baby on the way) so I'd like to go the cheaper route... but this also will probably be the only time i get the excuse to tell my wife i need to make a mod on the jeep for a few years

If your leafs are that bad just replcae them. As far as I know OME makes GREAT springs.I dont have them but want them. lol For the price of new OEM springs and shackels vs just new OME springs I would Just get new OME springs.

As long as you're for sure going to replace the OEM leaf springs either way, then I too would go with the OME springs and be done with it. I really want the full OME kit, just gotta save my pennies.

Whats the difference between the heavy and medium loads? heavier will be stiffer? will they last longer? pros/cons of each?

also, do OME leaf springs use the same bushing as stock springs?

I belive thats just for if you want to throw on a heavy bumper the heavy load wont drop the jeep down. I would say when you order them just pick up a new set of bushings.

I myself would go with the Old Man Emu 2.5" system. Comes with leafs, coils, Tc drop, shocks. But you have to order new bushings with it. Suppose to be the best of all around (On/Off road) ride quality. And fit 31" tires. Later if you want more clearance, or bigger meats. I would trim the fenders back, And add some Bushwhacker flares. That's what I plan on doing. JMO!

I want this plus a shackle relocation bracket to fix the angle. Great articulation off road, and a great ride on road!

If I had the money I'd do an entire kit... and I know the OME's are good springs, so the 111.99 seems like a great price to me.

Another question real quick so I can see how bad of sag i have in my leaf springs... Anyone know what the distance between the center of my hub cab and the bottom of my fender flare should be on a stock xj? i have 17" distance in the rear, and 18.5" up front. I know the front should be a bit higher, but are these good measurements or am I sagging pretty good?

Ya befor my lift I sat somewhere around 17.25 in the rear and about 18.5 in the front.

OME lifts rock, thats what I run,in my opinion they are worth every penny.I went way over board and added all JKS goodies and EnergySuspension bushings everywhere. Oh as far as stock height its 17 rear, 17.5 up front.Thats from bootom of flare to center of the hub cap.
