Older engine in 2000 cherokee
I need to put an older engine into a 2000 cherokee. I know that the exhaust will be a pain, but that's ok. I'm not worried about the coil pack mounting either.
-My main concern is the distributorless ignition. I don't know how the 2000 gets a signal from the cam(I don't have the 2000 here yet). If it still has a cam sensor in the same spot as the distributor then I should be ok, right?
-Also, i've heard from some people that the accessories will bolt up and from some that they won't. Anyone know firsthand?
I already have the old engine, actually a couple of them that will become one. I'll use a 7120 head and manifold, and we won't talk about emissions. I don't have the money to buy another engine, so that isn't an option.
I know all sensors will need to be swapped. I may swap cams depending on how the 2000 gets a signal from the cam.
