Default Ok transmission is in. Now Im having Problems.

Ok i put the 4wd transmission in and now im having some problems.

If you go to put it in any gear like drive, reverse, 1-2, it wont go anywhere, then when I try to put it in part it grinds. Now if i put the transfer case in neutral everything works.

any ideas?

I think it might have something to do with the transfer case linkage. I had to make one and im not sure if its the right length. I need to see what the shift leakage looks like

Disconnect your xfercase linkage and manually put it in 2h. Adjust your transmission linkage in Park.Leave the transfercase disconnected and take it out for a spin. If it drives okay then you can spend more time on the xfer case linkage.

FWIW, you'll know you're in 2h when (with the tranny in Park) the rear output will turn maually but the front output will.

Think he is taking his afternoon nap! Let him rest and do what he said and see which output is free to turn and which is not. Then when he wakes up you will have the info.

With the tranny in Park and the transfer case in 2h, the rear will not turn, the front will.

Sorry for the delay, I was at my son's H.S Football Game. We won 21-6 angainst a a heavily favored opponent.
