I'd say that puppy is running smack dab on a 195 t-stat. Looks good. Cool ambient temps, right?

Sorry to jack but I am having the same issue since I installed a new radiator a few months ago. This is where it normally runs now, and from what I have gathered from this discussion, it is fine? It runs a little lower coming down a hill or when the wind is cold(but I have ordered a grill cover for the winter)

Mine is at around 100-130 at all times now for the past week or so.....im getting horrible MPG's, how can i tell if the thermostat is stuck open? The gauge doesnt seem to be malfunctioning (aftermarket gauge, have the idiot lights) and she's idling like crap to be honest.
I have NO idea what started the whole "over-heating" ordeal. After we replaced the radiator, top hose, water pump (which had exploded) and thermostat I drove from Indiana to Alabama. On the way home got stuck in a traffic jam and jeep over-heated, needle buried in the red. I turned the heat up high and it cooled to just above 210. Apparently the mechanical fan clutch had been out too. So replaced that, and had the too cold temp. Just replaced the 2nd thermostat and it was stuck open. So now problem solved!

Computers/OS change and so do engine management systems. No reason for an engine to run for 10 min rich and dirty waiting on coolant temp to reach normal when a heated O2 can tell the system to run lean and clean in less than 1 minute. Heated O2 sensors have been out since early/mid '90s? Today's engines are just as slow to heat up as old carbureted engines but EFI engines run perfect (lean/clean) the moment they start....cold/hot or anywhere in between.

CEL? what is that lol, think ill try the carboard thing today i guess. Yesterday i checked the gauge after i let her idle for around 10-15 min and she was right around 180-190, and the gauge read around 200 or so (checked the temp with an electronic thermometer in rad. But today on the way home the gauge still read around 130 or so.......
