Default Ok, I know I am asking for it but....

The fricken AirTex fuel pump that I just put in is going out. The fuel gauge is off by at least half a tank. Everyday it is taking more and more cranking to fire up. So my question is... What brand do I go with? And where can I get them?

Thanks!

its always good to mention year and details regarding your jeep, and also could try search function where info can be readily had. but id recommend carter or bosch pumps and can be found at most auto stores....also would try to get your money back for the inferior cheap airtex product you are having issues with

I recently installed a Carter fuel pump in my 2000 xj. No problems with it so far. I read somewhere on here that Carter is the OEM replacement, don't quote me though. Rock auto and yes Ebay had the cheapest prices. If you go the ebay route make sure its the right part number for your xj. I managed to get lucky and find a deal with free shipping. Good luck in your search

With fuel pumps being such a PITA to change, Ive always bucked up and bought OEM(dealer or aftermarket)

The intial cost is quite a bit more, but you save yourself loads of headaches over time. I personally havent seen an airtex pump last longer than a year.
