Oil Temp Gauge
I needs some with my oil guage temp.
When I first bough my jeep I noticed it didnt work.
I havent seen any performance loss in it. Just wanted to see what I could do to fix it? Or how to put a new one in. Thanks guys. Hope to hear from any of you soon.

I think the cherokee only have oil temp? Am I correct? Its in the stock cluster gauge set with everthing else. Speedometer, batter meter, fuel meter, temp guage etc.

I would agree that its most likely the sending unit. could also be the gauge or a wiring issue. but the sending unit is easy. its just above your starter, and un plug it, unthread and thread the new one in, plug it in and your done.
I got my first one aftermarket for 15$, it lasted 4 months then bought the factory one for 35$....

Colton, it is really easy to test your oil pressure guage and wiring. Remove the wire from the sending unit and, with the key turned on touch the wire to ground. The needle on the guage should sweep to the other end of the scale and when you remove the wire from ground it should sweep back to where it was. if it does that, then your guage and wiring is fine and you have a bad sending unit for sure.
