The contents of Marvel Mystery Oil were 74 percent mineral oil, 25 percent stoddard solvent, and 1 percent lard.

It works, but it's not gonna cure decades of neglect in one day.

Describe the tick.

Loud on first start? Engine run rough as a result? Reduced noise with time as the engine warms up?

Nope engine runs smooth gets lighter as the engine warms but i loose a little oil pressure, never gets above 40 psi accept on cold start, idk as long as it runs well im not gonna dig into it to far i guess. Whats the typical oil pressure of the I6 suppose to be at running temp?

13 at idle. Around 40 at speed. What brand of oil filter again? Change your oil and use another quart of MMO in 1000 miles.

Bad idea unless all you do is go down the HWY. 30s' are about as big as you can go stock w/o breaking things.
