oil sending unit ? or something else
I have a 92 with a 4.0 I just changed the motor out now when I start it the oil pressure tops out it goes off the gauge what would that be I have checked all the wiring and it all checks out the motor I put in it was out of a 96 it never moves until I shut it off would this be the sending unit or what

Oil pressure sending unit is the primary suspect. If you buy one, do yourself a favor and buy a Mopar unit for the best reliability/accuracy/mating with your gauge.
