Oil Pressure Switch/Sender Question
Haven't been on in a few months as my previous electrical problems seem that they may have been taken care of...on to a new question.
Noticed recently that my oil pressure gauge didn't seem to be running as high during driving (sort of stayed in the middle at 40ish). Then at idle, it would hover around 10, until the other day it dropped to zero and the check gauges light came on. Revs sent it back up. It would do it periodically. So i changed the sending unit today. It seems to have been that.
Question though is that when i removed the electrical connection there was oil inside the connection. ?? As far as i understand there is a diaphragm inside the sender and maybe if that ruptures it could cause the oil in the electrical connection?
That sound right?
Oil pressure reading seems to be fine now though
