All low oil pressure readings should be CONFIRMED. Good data = Good decisions.
Get a mechanical oil pressure gauge. They can be rented at many big box parts stores.
Temporarily install it where the oil pressure sending unit currently resides, which is just above the oil filter.
Compare your readings to factory specs, listed below.
*Not less than 13 psi at HOT idle
*Between 37-75 psi over 1600 rpms
