well i was running at about 60 at all times. and now it idles at about 35 and goes up to 45 on the highway 2000 Rpms. it just switched over night why is this? is it bad, should i be worried? thanks in advance

 

Oil pressure gauge are there is make you feel good about the motor. There are a lot of things that can cause it but you are fine, theres nothing to worry about

 

Are you positive you did nothing to cause this change? Like, changing the oil to clean. There could have been a blockage of sorts at the sending unit that broke free. As long as you're still seeing oil pressure and you have no obnoxious noises coming from your motor, I'd say you're golden.

35 PSI at idle and 45 PSI at Hwy. speed is closer to the truth, anyway, Bro. I'd say a blockage worked it's way loose and the gauge is NOW reading correct. That 60 PSI at all times wasn't right. So, your Jeep basically fixed itself. They do that from time to time.

 

Mine is like 80psi at startup and idles at around 25psi in warm idle and highway cruising 2k rpms is about 45 and wot is like 65. My motor has like 230k miles though

 

1badZ, Your warm PSIs sound right and you have 80 at cold start up because your oil pump is trying to pull that cold sludge up that has sat in pan solidifying all night....
