Oil Pressure
Hi guys, I have a 2000 jeep xj with 142xxx miles. I was wondering what the oil pressure gauge should be at. On a cold start, mine sits at about 45, and then will lover to about 35. When accelerating, it will rise up to about 55 or so. Is this usual? I replaced my oil pressure sending unit two years ago, but I got in an accident and the Jeep sat for 3 months before I got it driving again. I am going to do an oil change this weekend, and am planning on switching to Rotell T6 and a WIX filter. Possibly doing the oil pan gasket and rear main seal if the oil filter adapter I fixed doesn’t solve the leak! Thanks!
