Broke the oil pressure sensor when changing the oil filter
So I turned my $40 oil change into a $70 oil change.
Was taking the filter off with an adjustable filter wrench, slipped and broke the plastic back right off. Anyone else ever do this? Anyone take it off when removing the filter to prevent this? I just thought I would share my miss fortune.

Common problem (although no, I haven't done it myself.)
The sensor and hole are threaded 1/8"-27 NPT, so you can extend the sensor out of the way if you feel the need to using hardware store parts. A pressure sensor doesn't require flow, it merely needs to see pressure (a temperature sensor requires constand flow over it for accurate readings.)
