The o ly way to be 100% that your dash gauge is correct is to perform a pressure test with an analog gauge. The sending unit is notorious at being a pile if crap that is inaccurate. Example: my 98 reads about 15-20 all the time no matter what. Testing with a manual gauge no problems at all. Good luck

I don't know if this applies to a later model but, I changed the oil on my RENIX shortly after buying it and my oil pressure was all over the place afterward. It turned out to be the sending unit next to the oil filter. I replaced that and it's back to normal now.

My money is on the fact that the sending unit got disturbed during the oil filter change.

But, gotta ask. What brand oil filter did you use?

Yay!! A good filter. See if there's oil in the wire end, or if the connection isn't tight.
