could the relief spring in the oil pump be bad or sticking? I would run a engine flush through it before your next oil change buy a mopar or wix oil filter and some good 10w30 oil and maybe a little lucas and see where that gets you.

Ever actually done one of those little "hand crank gear" Lucas setups in AZ or whatever? I always noticed it took more effort to turn the handle than the regular oil. Also, all the lucas ever seemed to do was gob ridiculous amounts of oil on the little gears. The standard oil climbed and made all gear surfaces "wet" so to speak. Lucas is a joke IMHO. I used it once... caused my PureOne filter to fail.
