My oil pressure wound randomly drop, figured that my oil sending unit was bad but I replaced it and now it goes down and up..... What gives

Does it drop to zero or around 15-20psi? I think the low specs for the gauge is 17psi

Replaced the oil pressure sending unit and it's now at 0 all the time but the engine still sounds perfect....

If you add your Jeep data to your signature (nothing there) it will help others in diagnosing any problems you may have.

Cheers....

Make sure the wire going to the sending unit isn't cut or shorting on the body. My gauge used to jump all around when it shorted on the body. Inspect the wire before anything
There's a good write somewhere too of how to clean out the sending unit area

It was something along the lines of unscrewing it, running a hose down from it into a catch pan. Turn on your jeep and push it to 4k rpm to clear out all the gunk and replace the sending unit
