Okay, the rear main seal is leaking and has been for over two years but this is something different.

This is for a 1996 Grand Cherokee 5.2L V8

The first problem was the oil pressure gauge fluctuating between 40 and 0 psi. It did this for a day then dropped down to almost 0 and stayed there. I checked the oil and it was a little low but only about a half quart. I topped it off and it still read at 0. Since I didn't smell oil I figured it was just the gauge reading wrong and had to be replaced.

Now it's leaking a good amount of oil. When my husband looked at it he said it's coming out of a spot on the passenger side that had wires going into it. It was also in a spot that would need to have parts removed from both the top and bottom. We're trying to figure out what this part is but can't find our manual. Any ideas? Also according to him it's not the oil pressure sending unit. We watched a video and it wasn't in the right spot.

It is probably the valley gaskets under the intake manifold. Kind of a big Job for a novice mechanic.
