Default Oil Leak Help

Hey all i'm a newbie to jeeps and am looking around at the moment for one but am concerned over a number off the jeeps i have seen leaking oil from area highlighted in the picture below. Is this a common problem on jeeps, and if anyone has any experince on this or can point me in the right direction I would be grateful !!! Cheers http://s1081.photobucket.com/albums/...t=Untitled.jpg

Some leak a little, others don't. Mine doesn't and its a matter of a gasket if one does. I would say its pretty much a non issue

no big issue when looking for a vechicle rust is more of a issue to concern your self with

unfortunately thats how alot of jeeps are. mine leaks quite a bit. the most common leaks are the valve cover gasket and rear main seal.

thats where mine leaks from too, probably the rear main seal,i dont think its dripping all the way down from the valve cover gasket on mine. im guessing they are a pain,rear main seal that is,to change.

i dont remember all the the years, but on my 96 the rear main seal is a two piece, and easy to change
