Default Oil leak in engine bay

I have an oil leak above my filter and it looks as if it is coming from the oil pressure sensor.. It seems as though the gasket style cap on the wire connector side to the switch is where the leak is coming from. I have found replacements that are cheap to replace but I feel as thought it is not the actual sensor leaking... mind you its hard to tell with the oil everywhere. I cant seem to find a replacement for the wiring side of the pressure switch.
Also I get oil changes every 5000km but my dipstick has never been able to read any level of oil... this stumps the guys at the oil change, the jeep dealership, as well as two local mechanics in town.. nobody has any answer for this exept for one guy who said it was too short of a dipstick therefore I ordered a new one which was an exact match and oem replacement number as the one I currently have... My jeeps temperature is normal and also my oil pressure gauge was reading fine until this recent failure near the switch. Thanks for the help in advance guys

The wiring side is on the left and is the part in my hand... you can see the cap up the wire to show how loose it is and how (I assume) it should normally fit snug in the end, not letting oil escape. The actual gasket connection seems fine when I plug the two together.. who knows maybe I will just replace the O.P.S and see what the outcome is like.

better than an oil leak in the glove box.

the plug has absolutely nothing to do with holding oil. That is your oil pressure sending unit. Change it immediately. If it goes the rest of the way out 5 qts of oil will come out of the little hole very very fast.

Haha yes.. oil in the glove box would be lameee..
And yeah now that I have felt around the thread side of the actual oil pressure switch I can feel that the oil is leaking from there.. it must be just have been traveling up the wire while driving.. beleive it or not I have been a complete idiot and ignoring this leak for over a month and add a bit of oil once in a while. (which is not normally like me haha) Even though it is such a simple fix with a bit of teflon tape added to the new screw in switch... will have to pick one up tomorrow after work. Thanks for the help.

I believe they go for $30-$40... I'm sure you get what you pay for with the precise reading if you go for the pricier switch.. I get 40% off so I will just get whatever is best when I go tomorrow, see how she goes.

From what I recall most Cherokees tend to run at a fairly high pressure and that is normal... im not sure about your 80 tho haha
