Hi all,I have a oil leak that seems to throw oil forwards so that it collects in the bodywork below the rad,but I cannot pinpoint exactly where the oil is originating from,is this a normal oil leak problem for a cherokee XJ 4.0 or is it something unusual?.Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?,look forward to your advice,thanks.

may not be a engine oil leak, more than likely it is a transmission cooler leaking or trans cooler line leaking at the radiator.

Are you completely sure its engine oil? Could it be ps fluid, or trans fluid??

 

Yeah if its red its Trans fluid or PSteering fluid. Check cooler lines. Unless u have a major leak somewhere it's probably not engine oil. If its in front of the fan and not being thrown all over the engine compartment it's got to be trans or ps fluid.
