Default oil gasket replaced twice in last 15,000 miles

so i just had the valve cover replaced a few thousand miles back (98,500) on my 1999 jeep cherokee, 4.0l 4x4. well, i looked through the maintenance history from the guy I bought the jeep from @87,000 miles and he had just replaced it at 85,000 miles. what other issues could i be having that could cause this? i think i have some oil leaks in other places too :/ i've notice some leakage on the inside and just behind my front right tire. nothing too serious, but i want to catch something before it makes something too serious. any ideas on what i should be looking for?

thanks

Xj's seem to be prone to multiple engine oil leaks, but if the po had already replaced the valve cover gasket, there are a couple of possibilities, maybe it wasn't done correctly the first time, or maybe you crankcase ventilation system is not working properly, this would cause multiple oil leaks and turn small leaks into larger ones.

look at the oil filter adapter it might be the o-rings,look at the base of your distributor there is a gasket there also.

with my jeep year/make am i going to need a t60 torx bit to get the adapter off and replace the o-rings? haynes manual doesn't seem to have any directions for this part.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/oil...pter-fix-4338/

these directions pretty good or anyone got some better ones?
