Default Oil filter adapter seal prpblems

I was gong to attempt to replace my oil filter adapter seal and the t60 bit won't fit.... I've tried 3 different bits and still nothing.... It will barely grab but won't slide on completely... Any advice would be great... Last oil leak I need to fix

Sounds like you need to clean the bolt head out, try hitting it with a wire brush and some brake cleaner.

Are you using the handy dandy home brew wrench?

I'm also curious why you couldn't pull down on the filter to get it off that way? I assume it's because of that tube on the inside might break?
