I am in the need of a new bolt for the oil filter adapter, the one that mounts the housing to the block. (the flange at the bolt head is bent on mine and wont seal). i am having some difficulty finding a replacement online. Most I have found are showing for 92+
Here is a link to what i have found and my question is will this one work.

if you go into the picture it is #20 on the list. it looks like the right part.
If you guys know of another one that will work or that this one will work please let me know.

Out of curiosity which fiter did you get?
Goind sideways with an SAE fitting opens the door on a whole world of filters that are better than what a 4.0L ever shipped with.

K&N HP-3001. It was the one recommended on that write up. I found one for $12.90 on Ebay. I don't mind using others down the road, just not sure on the different ones I can use

Quite a few. K&N HP-3001 is a decent filter, it is literally a Mobil 1 M1-301 with a little nut welded on the end.
WIX 51452 is a much more economical filter that's ruggedly built. You can pick them up at NAPA as NAPA Gold 1452. It is the rugged version of the commonly recommended WIX 51515.

Thanks for the info. I've been using Mobil 1 filters/oils for the past few years and never had an issue, but before then I used wix filters with just the old reliable Mobil oils.

Oh you're a synthetic guy? What OCI do you run?
It's difficult to find synthetic filters with WIX as they're so application-oriented, if you want a seriously good filter check out Baldwin B2-HPG. Excellent flow, excellent dirt capacity, synthetic media with 10 micron nominal filtration.

Depends really, I start visually checking oil at around 5k and will go as far as 7.5k. Only thing I changed with the jeep is a quality zinc additive. No snake oil here

If you're shelling out already for Mobil 1 pick up Mobil Delvac 1 ESP, save you from adding the zinc additive.
If you're not a fanboy to the brand take a look at Shell Rotella T6. I'm working on a giant post right now all about engine oil and have compared 24 oils, probably going to add more. Stay tuned to OEM Tech sometime this week (I hope!).
