Default Oil drain plug stuck.

I honestly feel stupid posting this, but I have no idea how this thing is still on there.I always drive a vehicle until it reaches operating temp before changing oil to help things along. So far I have done the following to try and loosen it:

Soaked in PB Blaster for 1 hour.
Used a socket wrench with appropriate socket.
Tapped it gently with a hammer to try and free it.
Attempted to use vice grips. Stopped when I felt the grips slipping off.

I don't have a breaker bar that is short enough to get under the Jeep for leverage. Any ideas? Do I need to replace the oil pan?

try double wrenching it for some leverage

I have a hollow pipe, but sadly nothing to cut it down to a size where it would be useful. Most of my tools got stolen, so I have very limited stuff.

x2, or maybe try and pull up onto a curb or something so you can get a breaker bar under it. i don't think your gonna have to replace the pan, but i would prob replace the drain plug

x2, I have two hollow pipes sitting in my tool box used for breaker bars, one just half as long as the other. I modified both ends, 1 end somewhat smashed to fit the opened end wrench side and the other I snugged some hose in there to protect the handles of my ratchets, but mostly to prevent so much play that sooner or later becomes a darn pinch in your hand while your cranking on it!

Is it just not budging when you using a ratchet and appropriate socket size?

Is this your first time changing the oil on this particular vehicle?
....If so, it is possible that it was taken to a shop before to have the oil changed and the mechanic use and impact.
-Same thing happened to my fiancés '02 accord. I used the same pan, but threads were all f'd up I had to tap it to a bigger size!

If you have a extension put a big enough socket on it to put around your ratchets handle and could get leverage that way.

Or use a craftsman socket that barely fits and tap on the head of the bolt for a nice right fit. use a breaker bar to get it loose then ratchet it out. Pull the bolt out of the now damaged socket and get it replaced for free

All great tips for next time. I took it to a friend of mine who owns an oil change place. He had to use a special socket to get the damn thing out. It was fairly caked in dirt and when he showed it to me, the head was practically round. Replaced it with a new plug. Also brought my own oil and filter and he took care of all of it for $15. Running Rotella T6 synthetic and a Bosch Distance PLUS filter. Also found out I have a damn nail in my rear tire. Guess some new tires are in my future. As always, all of your help is much appreciated!

Here is a link to the filter if anyone is interested. They go for about $12.

I almost considered on buying a Bosch filter yesterday when I bought supplies to do mine. They are smaller filters, very dense! While usually being a Fram buyer because of the price, I started going with Mobile 1 which has a larger capacity. For just a few more bucks you're looking at a filter that can last for 10-15k miles! Will I do that? Nope!!!

Great buy by the way and nice to know your friend helped you out!
