Have you run the engine with the oil cap off to see what it does ? because if it looks like a old time train puffing smoke then I would say you have a ring problem .

What specifically was your testing procedure? All plugs out, engine warm, throttle open, # of cranks. Throw some oil in the cylinders and see what happens.

What brand of compression tester?

That's way out of specs but IMO this needs some thought re: next step.

Using any antifreeze? Check the radiator level, not just the overflow.

See if there's bubbling in the overflow tho.

I did the test with a kit I got at oreillys for $45 so I'm sure it's not perfect. I had all the plugs out. Engine at operating temp and throttle opened. I did them all a few times to test for accuracy same numbers whether I did 4 rotations or 8. The plugs looked old the electrodes were white. And no problem with coolant no bubbling. No blow by when I take the oil cap off. I took the valve cover off and cut and drilled the flute tubes. I'll put some miles on it and see if I still get an abundance of oil on the filter. Also I'll make sure I keep the radio turned up

Are you in Aspen or something? Those numbers seem low even for me in Prescott at 5300 feet.
