Off-road Clutch kits
Are they worth it?
Hi guys, the clutch in my xj is going out, got it smoking driving through town. Pretty sure i need to swap it out. I can get an oem clutch kit for $150, but I've heard some clutch kits are more suitable for off-road applications. In particularly the ACT HD clutch kit (JP1-HDSS) that runs around $350. Is it worth the extra $200 for that clucth? Other than the fly wheel and u joints, is there anything else I should pay attention to while replacing the clutch? My end result for my xj is going to be my daily driver, and weekend off-road'er. Thanks all in advance for your replies.

I would get a heavy duty clutch if money isn't an issue. My Jeep had one when i first got it, i loved it. It went out since then and got replaced by some crap-cheap light duty clutch (Off brand, like $70) and it slips like hell.
