It was from RockAuto's premium line. The only level higher MotoRad was the Fail Suck. And RockAuto's prices have always been way cheaper for me. My replacement tail-light housing was $20+ including shipping as where all the stores wanted $40+. The mid-grade stants were like barely $2.

Btw Cruiser [threadjack], when you swapped prop valves, did you use the spring from the donor ZJ valve as well or just reuse the stock XJ spring? Those guts shot out from the spring LOL! [/threadjack]

No prob. When I get the stat, I'll post up pics/numbers. Also, Cruiser, being a mod, is there anyway you can better get in touch with the mods who handle the how-to submissions? I have submitted two now, one of which disappeared after being too old and never accepted. I contact the mods but never receive a response. I had one for a t-stat swap as well as CF's own NSS cleaning article. I'm going to re-do the t-stat article as well as make one for the gut swap, but I fear it will be of no good if they just sit in the submission forum and then disappear when they reach a certain age.

Thanks!

Looking forward to hearing how the high-flow stat works out. I wasn't completely convinced by the single photo of the Standard MotoRad photo having a jiggle pin or not so I found a pdf of their catalog with all photos and descriptions of their thermostats. The Standard 200-195 thermostat does not have a jiggle pin but the 2000-195 High Flow does have one.

I think we're on the right track. We have to find out which one O'Reilly's and RockAuto carry.

Crap. so far it looks like Vatozone and O'Reilly's only carry the fail-safe MotoRads.

Is it possible the high flow are only available through the dealer?

I'm thinking the high flow is available through most retailers including rockauto, but the dealer version is a mix between the two.

The mopar version only has the single bridge and a jiggle pin, the high flow has a tri-bridge and a jiggle pin.

The one I bought also touted about a pre-release valve thing (insert joke here) to start some coolant flow before the stat itself opens up alongside the jiggle valve to bleed air. I expect the tstat to be here mid-week. Also, aside from the bridge difference is I suspect that this thermostat would also be considered the dealer stat because of the price ($10 shipped plus 2x+ markup giving us the $20+ dealer price). We shall see.

26 bucks for a t-stat from the dealer... at least it came with gasket !
Single bridge w/ jiggle valve.
Installed but still have same symptom of temp gets up to 205 then dips every 20-30 secs never lower than say 185-90 never higher than 210 Has been ongoing thru 3 t-stat change outs.
Likely Air bubble to be purged.....

I can retrieve and post the p/n off the dealer OEM box if that would help the cause here in this thread ?

Perhaps you have a slight leak somewhere, I would do a pressure test of your coolant system. It could be sucking in air without a very apparent fluid leak.

Would be helpful to compile more part numbers, so we can see that they are all the same anyways.

Got to O'Reilly's today. They have MURRAY Fail-Safe stats made by MotoRad. No high flow versions. the guy behind the counter is gonna do more research and phone me back. For now, dealer is the best deal.

Hell, I don't know. Buy one and install it. Report back to us. We kinda know that the Mopar version is the HighFlow though.
