Default OEM crossmember years?

Are the XJ crossmembers the same for 84-01 or do the 97+ have a different kind? Can't see them being too much different as the transfer cases and frame rails are basically the same. Busted up my current one pretty bad and am going to hit the yard soon. If they are year specific I'll have to order one online....

Not quite "skid" but yea, the crossmember that holds up the tranny and TC

oh yeah duh. My bad Its monday and I had a brain fart. Now I can't promise they work for all years. but that area has not changed so It is safe to assume that they will all line up fine.

only difference ive ever heard is stick shift ones are lower than autos ...

Get to pick n pull, and there was a 98 and the crossmember was already pulled and on the ground.... Yes!

they will all work for autos.. the 99 and up used a centered mount. but i have a 2001 with a 97 trans mount and a crossmember from a mid 80's comanchee. bolted right up

A manual cross member offers 3/4 drop for an automatic with out losing ground clearance
