Default OEM Cooling Fan Rigging

My electric fan system took a crap this past summer. How many amps does the fan draw? I know the fan itself is good because I damn near took my finger off testing it Will 16 gauge speaker wire handle it? TIA

I'm pretty sure 16 gauge wire isn't quite enough for the draw of an electric cooling fan.

Yes I agree on the 16 being a tad small. I would probably use somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 and I would never wire up anything but speakers with speaker wire. The wires in it are very thin and can burn up easily. I always error on the side of safety with wiring. Unless you want a burned up jeep.

Alright, Thanks. Any idea on the amperage though? Will a 30 amp fuse hold it?

I would probably see what amp it was fused for originally and use the same that was in the fuse box. But I would think 30 would be more than sufficient.
