Odd Temp Reading..?

Bingo.......or something related to the gauge, sending unit/sensor, electrical connection in the temp gauge circuit, etc.
Gotta make sure the motor has run long enough to reach operating temp to do the heater test. If the heater runs u out, odds r the stat is doing it's job and the gauge is lying to u, when pointing to the 1/4 mark.

Put a new stat in anyways & it creeped up to running temp & stayed there so signs look good, but have yet to road test it.
Noticed something odd tho, after shutting the jeep off I saw the clutch fan still spinning. So when it stopped I was able to spin it by hand easily. Its not wobbly type of loose, it just spins freely. SO is this normal?????????????
