Default odd noise

Alright so i had this weird noise and the floor pan felt like something was tapping it so i replaced the motor mounts they needed it, but the noise is still there. it sounds and feels like a loose exhaust tapping on something but i did a little investigation and the noise and tapping only happens when the car is in drive and the brakes are applied. I am in need of new brakes but is there something else that can be the problem?

I have the same problem on my 89,it is the mount where the exhaust is attached to the trany mount or crossover,if I raise my idle above 600 or put it drive it will go away.
